To say this place was amazing would be a huge understatement. We were only able to stay in Highlands for two nights but Im glad we found this gem. So impressed by how clean and beautiful this property is and I cant count how many times my wife said how thankful she was that I booked this place. We almost never go back to places we have stayed before but we would definitely stay here again on future vacations. Thank you Christy for your exceptional communication and hospitality. Everything was beyond perfect!

Our stay at this treehouse was nothing short of incredible. From the moment we arrived, it felt like stepping into a peaceful hideaway tucked high among the trees. The craftsmanship is unreal — every beam, board, and detail is beautifully designed and perfectly built. You can tell so much thought and care went into creating this space. Everything is luxury from the soap to the pillows. We loved the snacks provided and the sauna and jacuzzi was perfection on a cold night. Thanks for making such a beautiful peaceful treehouse. Perfect getaway.

My husband and I had the opportunity to stay in this beautiful treehouse for our honeymoon, and it was absolutely incredible! The photos were stunning, but seeing it in person took our breath away — both inside and out. The host was so kind and responsive, making our stay even more enjoyable. We can’t wait to come back! If you’re looking for a romantic getaway, this is the perfect place. Highlands is such a beautiful area!

This was easily one of the best stays my fiancé and I have ever experienced. Every detail is so thoughtfully considered — from the layout and interior design to all the little touches that made this place feel so effortlessly warm and inviting. The Bird Nest is the perfect balance of luxe comfort and mountain coziness, creating the most serene atmosphere. The mattress and pillows were unbelievably comfortable, and the bathroom was beautiful and luxurious. The indoor and outdoor fireplaces, outdoor shower, sauna, and hot tub area nestled among the trees created the most peaceful and secluded getaway. The location was excellent — close to Highlands and Cashiers for easy exploring, yet still a perfect retreat immersed in nature. The hosts were wonderful — very responsive and accommodating. This was an excellent stay for getting outdoors, exploring town, or just staying in and reading a good book. The only thing I’d change? I wish we could’ve stayed longer! We will absolutely be back.

Hide In Seek Birds Nest is one of the loveliest properties we have had the good fortune to stay in. My husband and I chose to celebrate our 18th wedding anniversary here and it was just what we needed. The setting is beautiful and serene. Every last detail was thought out and lovingly executed with care. We are both self employed and have three school age children - life is very busy this season! It was so refreshing to have peace and quiet and reconnect just the two of us. We left rejuvenated and inspired by this beautiful escape the Winston's have created. We cannot recommend this property enough and suspect their other location is equally as lovely. Don't wait - book the trip and this stay.
